Language Support During the COVID-19 Pandemic

 

 

Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting all of our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. During this time, we wanted to reach out and update you on how we’re approaching the situation at Universal Language Service.

 

First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who’s been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And we’re truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need. During this time, we are supporting our communities through philanthropic donations to support our local communities where we live and work.

 

Second, at Universal Language, we’re focused on the health and safety of our call center workers, interpreters, families and communities by making our telecommuting technology available for their use. With our highly distributed workforce, this shift has been relatively smooth, and we continue to deliver the highest levels of performance, availability, and security.

 

Third, even as we deal with this pandemic, our team at Universal Language remains laser-focused on your support, around the clock.  While all our employees and interpreters are in uncharted territory, Universal Language was built to handle moments like this, and our relentless commitment to your support is stronger than ever. During this challenging time, our goal is to support our local interpreters and translators, who are an important part of our family, and continue to offer them remote interpretation and translation assignments.

 

Our Washington, Oregon and Idaho interpreters are available through digital channels, including the Video conference system of your choice, as well as via our high-tech telephone contact center platform, designed for On-Demand, and/or Pre-Scheduled Over-The-Phone Interpreter Services.

 

We have amazing teams across Universal Language that are here for you. This moment reminds us that we’re all connected like never before.
